The Travel Lady visits Cancun, Mexico

All-Inclusive Resort , Warm Sunshine, Good Food & Great Sightseeing!

My family and I recently returned from our Cancun Adventure.  We stayed at a lovely resort called Now Sapphire, a 4* property.   Pricing was affordable with great and food and drinks abundant!  I do enjoy cruising but wanted to try an All-Inclusive land package and I was glad I did.

What I found was a resort that reminded me of Hawaii with thatched roofs, lovely beach, beautiful ponds, and a huge swimming pool with a swim-up bar. Everything that was happening was happening at the large pool with yoga, water aerobics, games and more.  There were theme nights, daily activities, and kids club with supervised activities.  It is an ideal atmosphere for a family reunion, destination wedding, honeymoon or just plain I need to get away vacation!

We enjoyed eating outside by the ocean morning & night, with birds flitting around looking for food or an iguana coming to greet us.  The buffet was abundant and delicious. My daughter invited me to try her style pancakes with peanut butter, nutella, coconut, almonds and granola – They were delicious! We also enjoyed the French restaurant offering a generous portion of filet mignon and of course wine and/or unlimited drinks if you are so inclined.

I would suggest you purchase a preferred club room option.  The benefits include free internet access in your room, preferred lounge access to enjoy a snack, my favorite a chocolate chip cookie pick me up.  You will also receive preferred dining reservations, and access to the private adults only pool for quiet time.  The adult pool provides royal treatment service with rafts waiting for you, a setup at your favorite place poolside with towels ready, umbrella and  a warm & friendly greeting by the staff!  Don’t be surprised if they have your favorite drink ready for you upon your arrival.

Our family loves to snorkel and we decided to make it a full day trip by including a stop at the ruins and shopping.  The best rate was utilizing a taxi service, Alejandro at your service!  $180 took 3 people from 7am-4:00pm anywhere we wanted to go.  So we started at Tulum Ruins 8:00am and were there to beat the buses – it was fabulous and we just about had it to ourselves. On to Akumal to snorkel and see the sea turtles which did not disappoint.  The sea was a bit rough that day but we got to see a momma and her baby!  Then to complete the day, shop on 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen- what a treat!

All in all we had a terrific vacation and would visit Cancun again at Now Sapphire!
